Wireless Wednesday Live: Rick talks with Apple's top fitness trainers

Rick talks with fitness trainers, Sam Sanchez and Jamie-Ray Hartshorne.

The New Year symbolizes a chance to reset and start fresh, making it ideal to focus on health and wellness. Setting fitness and wellness goals is one of the most popular New Year’s resolutions.

Unfortunately, many give up quickly, either because they don’t know where to begin or they can’t find a routine that suits their interests. The good news is that with iPhone and Apple Watch, you can get motivation, inspiration and features to help support your fitness and mindfulness journey, no matter where you’re starting from.

Have a watch and reach your fitness goals:

Fitness trainers Sam Sanchez and Jamie-Ray Hartshorne share their tips on sticking to fitness and wellness resolutions as well as new ways to stay active.

Sam Sanchez is an Apple Fitness+ Trainer. Originally from Miami, Sam became a star instructor in San Francisco teaching for some of the city’s most popular studios. She creates playlists with positive messages in the lyrics and is all about empowering people to show up for themselves every time they work out. While training for her first half-marathon, she fell in love with running, one 5:00 a.m. workout at a time.

Jamie-Ray Hartshorne is an Apple Fitness+ Trainer. Jamie-Ray wants his workouts to feel like a fun escape. Maybe that’s why the run clubs he taught were always full. His playlists feature hard-hitting beats that inspire intensity and maybe even a dance move or two. Previously a musical theater performer in London’s West End and competitive Muaythai fighter in Thailand, he’s a naturally entertaining coach. He loves hill sprints as much as he hates them.
