Topics:

There has been a lot of talk about EVs lately. What are the biggest shifts you’re seeing in the EV space right now?

How has access to fast-charging stations changed in the past year, and what challenges still remain?

What should EV owners know about using networks like these Superchargering stations?

How are automakers addressing EV driver concerns over range and long-distance travel?

Where can we go to learn more?

With more Americans switching to electric vehicles, the need for convenient and reliable charging is growing fast. Kia EV owners now have the ability to charge at more than 21,500 additional Supercharging stations nationwide, adding to the more than 40,000 public fast-charging stations already available. Drivers can locate and charge at these stations through the Kia Access app.

These additions are part of a larger effort to reduce “charge anxiety” and make long-distance travel accessible by expanding options and making them easier to find and use. And enjoyable.

James Bell, Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations, Kia America, oversees strategy, new product introductions, media relations and internal communications. He joined Kia America in June 2016, bringing with him more than 20 years of automotive and communications experience. He served as Head of Consumer Affairs for General Motors after time at Kelley Blue Book where he was Vice President of Corporate Communications and Executive Market Analyst. Bell’s multifaceted experience provides a unique perspective on the industry, crossing the boundaries between the general consumer, passionate enthusiast and discriminating media.
