AI, improved security, and an expanded device and software ecosystem were some of the themes at this year's Samsung Developer Conference. For smart TV users, Samsung announced a wide range of Bixby upgrades at SDC24, and one of the best AI-centric upcoming tools is called Samsung AI Cast.

With Samsung AI Cast, Generative AI is coming to Samsung's Tizen TVs. Through it, TV users will be able to send AI-generated results from Galaxy mobile devices to their smart TVs. Samsung is finally bridging the Galaxy AI and Generative AI gap between its mobile phones/tablets and the big screens.

Although Samsung has used AI for smart TVs before, it only did so as a machine learning model to improve image and sound quality in the background, without input from the user. However, thanks to these new developments revealed at SDC24, true Generative AI features will be coming to Samsung TVs.

Using AI Cast, Samsung fans will enjoy images and content lists created with the power of Generative AI right on their TV home screens. Furthermore, Samsung says its Tizen TVs will integrate with ChatGPT.
