Older adults are increasingly embracing video games, with nearly one-third of US gamers now age 50 or older. Half of people in their 60s and 70s play games weekly, with many saying that gaming helps them relax and stay mentally sharp. "As long as you keep your brain active and functioning, you're not going to sit there and just deteriorate away," says Will, 72, whose gaming handle is GrndpaGaming.
