Edison Report shows listeners want humans, not AI, hosting podcasts.

Americans now spend a combined 773 million hours per week listening to podcasts. That’s a quadrupling over the past decade. At the same time, artificial intelligence is creeping into podcasting. But Edison Research finds listeners want humans behind the mic. While one-quarter of new listeners have tried AI-narrated shows, most prefer AI used only behind the scenes.
