Can you actually workout in fitness attire from Kmart?

Kmart, the longtime big box retailer is fading quickly. On April 16, Kmart closed its fourth to final location in Avenel, New Jersey, leaving just three Kmart stores open across the US, David Porter reported for the Associated Press.

Its former parent company Sears Holding filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2018.

Kmart was once one of the US' largest discount stores. But over the past two decades, it has dropped from over 2,000 locations to only three.

The three brick and mortar Kmart stores that remain in the U.S.are located in Miami, Fla., Westwood, N.J. and Bridgehampton, N.Y.

Kmart is trying to stay relevant with online sales and frequent email blasts to those on past customers and email lists they are acquiring.

A quick check of Kmart's website and you see that they are "all in" on fitness apparel and equipment.

The question is, should you bull fitness attire from Kmart?

Pros:

  1. Prices look almost too good to be true.

  2. They sell familiar brands like Champion and Hanes

  3. Reasonable shipping rates

  4. They have a "Cashback" bonus points system

Cons:

  1. How efficient will Kmart be on returns?

  2. How long will they remain open for returns?

  3. Not many customer reviews

  4. Brands I've never heard of

  5. Some items have been available online since 2017 or earlier

What to do?

As with anything, buyer be aware!

Check the website and even make sure the item is available. Check the return policy.
