To do this, they scraped Escharts for data on 6 major FIFA tournaments with global representation in the 2022-2023 season and then created an index of “overall FIFAe success score” based on each nation’s total winnings ($) and the number of top 5 rankings.

Key Findings:

USA ranks as the ninth country best at playing FIFA, with an overall FIFAe success score of 7.58/10, only a 0.05 minor difference from UK who ranks eighth!

Italy ranks as the counrty best at playing FIFA esports, with an overall FIFAe success score of 9.39/10.

Netherlands ranks second with an overall FIFAe success score of 9.15/10.

The joint worst countries at playing FIFA are - Bulgaria, Chile, Honduras and Turkey!

USA ranks ninth as the country best at playing FIFA, with an overall FIFAe success score of 7.58/10, only a 0.05 minor difference from UK who ranks eighth ! Despite a lower amount of total winnings ($78,000) won from the six major global FIFA Esports tournaments in the 2022-23 season reviewed, USA teams have reached the top 5 positions four times in the six tournaments. The United States had the highest number of active eSports competition players in 2022, leading the world with more than 3,700 active eSports players.
