Following the success of Mattel’s UNO™ Car Party!, Hot Wheels: Xtreme Overdrive expands what in-car entertainment can be, shifting the world’s number one selling toy1 into the digital fast lane by combining a beloved brand, automotive innovation, and social play.

BMW Vision Neue Klasse X in the Spotlight

A signature feature of Hot Wheels: Xtreme Overdrive is the Panoramic Drive track, a thrilling level where players can race Hot Wheels cars inside the BMW Vision Neue Klasse X, the series version of which is the BMW iX3. Beyond the track, players can also get behind the wheel of a car inspired by the BMW iX3, to race alongside a variety of classic Hot Wheels vehicles.

This unique integration is a celebration of BMW’s next-generation design, brought to life through play, and will be exclusive for BMW drivers until June 2026, underscoring BMW’s role as a frontrunner in in-car entertainment innovation.

Personalization at the Core

With Hot Wheels: Xtreme Overdrive, players can earn points from races, unlock legendary Hot Wheels cars and customize them, making every race a personal showcase of skill and style.

Game features include:

Race iconic cars – Choose from a lineup of 8 Hot Wheels vehicles, as well as an exclusive BMW iX3.

Unique tracks – Zoom through six courses, including the Panoramic Drive track built inside the BMW Neue Klasse X.

Race Options for every player – Compete in Quick Race, Cup Mode, and Custom Track mode.

Multiplayer action – Up to four players can join the fun with smartphones as controllers.

Personalization – Unlock and customize cars to show off custom looks on the track.

Growing the Future of In-Car Gaming

In-car gaming is expanding rapidly, and players expect not only seamless integration but also exciting, recognizable content. N-Dream, the in-car experience company which developed AirConsole, continues to deliver by listening closely to users and anticipating market needs, making the car a new frontier for shared entertainment.

“Cars are no longer just about driving them, they’re becoming entertainment hubs. BMW’s continuous investment into exclusive content with AirConsole is a testament of in-car entertainment’s growing importance” said Anthony Cliquot, CEO of N-Dream. “With BMW and Mattel, we’re proving that the passenger experience can be as iconic as the drive itself.”

A Proven Partnership with BMW

Since 2022, the BMW Group and N-Dream have been pioneering in-car gaming, bringing intuitive and innovative gameplay to BMW vehicles. AirConsole’s portfolio on BMW vehicles now includes more than 30 games across racing, sports, arcade, strategy, and party genres. Highlight titles include Overcooked from Team 17, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? from Sony Pictures, UNO Car Party! from Mattel, and now also PAC-MAN™ Championship Edition from Bandai Namco.

Whether a family is resting during a road trip or a group of friends stop to plan their next move, stationary drivers can use AirConsole’s unique controller system to connect any passenger to the game with their smartphones.

BMW drivers can access AirConsole directly through the BMW infotainment system. Pairing is seamless: scan a QR code in the vehicle, connect a smartphone as the controller, and start playing instantly.

AirConsole is available in current BMW and MINI models with Operating System 9 in combination with BMW Digital Premium / MINI Connected Package, and with BMW Operating System 8.5 in combination with BMW ConnectedDrive Professional. It will also be available in the new vehicle generation with BMW Operating System X, starting with the new BMW iX3.
