It's wintertime, but Blue Zipper shorts still make a great gift
With temperatures hovering around the freezing mark, wearing shorts may not be on your "short list" of things you will be doing this week. I know it may sound cliche', but spring really is just a few months away and it will be time to break out the shorts as spring outdoor activities kick into high gear.
Blue Zipper is not making a comfortable high tech line of shorts that is also good for the environment.
Yes, it is unrealistic to completely get rid of plastics. Its the small things that make all the difference - and small changes can add up to big changes. Blue Zipper™ is committed to this idea. By reducing the amount of plastic used in apparel we can start making a positive impact. 35% of Microfiber water pollution is caused by our polyester/synthetic materials. That translates to people ingesting a credit card’s worth of plastic every week, just by drinking water.
Select from some cool colors and know you'll be sitting and walking in comfort with Blue Zipper.
On its website, Blue Zipper says it is doing things the right way!
Blue Zipper™ is developing the future of pants and clothing. Polyester and fast fashion are polluting and affecting our environment without us realizing it. We need to start making better apparel while reducing our dependency on polyester. This is about making things better for future generations.
As with most apparel, it all starts with the raw material or yarn:
About our yarn.
Our process begins with a yarn that has been certified according to the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, a rigorous testing, auditing, and certification system for environmentally friendly textiles. We then weave it to our specification to create a fast drying cotton fabric.
Wear outdoors for hiking or out to a casual nice dinner. These shorts fit better than the typical pair of walking or hiking shorts you might slip on these days. They hold their form and wrinkling is at a minimum.
