Healbe brings accuracy to fitness bands

Healbe Corp. is a global wearable startup that has created devices capable of innovative features to monitor more aspects of individuals health and well-being than those in the marketplace. They recently attended the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January and displayed the brand new GoBe3 smart band with color display and a smaller case. They conducted a study and found the Healbe GoBe2 band offers 80% accuracy for the three days average 89% accuracy during the 14 days average in comparison to a manual log.

The Healbe GoBe 2 is the world’s first and only smartband technology with unique features such as 100% automatic tracking of calorie intake, water balance and stress. The device only needs to be in contact with the user’s skin to work, there is no need to enter any data manually into an app.

How the GoBe2 works

You eat or drink

The food reaches the intestines, where enzymes begin to break it down. The rate of breakdown depends on the contents of the meal and your metabolism.

In the intestines, the body breaks food down into glucose to be absorbed by the body. When glucose is absorbed, it's concentration begins to increase in the blood. The body’s cells then remove the glucose from the bloodstream to use it as fuel.

GoBe2 uses a sensor to measure the behavioral patterns of extracellular and intracellular fluid 24 hours a day, monitoring the changes in blood glucose and using this information to track calorie intake.

You may not need an app to track but the app can function as your personal body dashboard on your smartphone screen. The app will show key parameters of your body like calorie consumption, energy and water balance, stress level, pulse and much more from the past 7 days. The Healbe app is currently available to download for both iOS and Android devices.

The Healbe GoBe 2 is currently available to purchase from the Healbe website at a price of $169.00. The product comes in black but additional strap colors can be purchased for $19 each including purple, red, blue and yellow. We currently are awaiting on the announcement for the launch of the GoBe3 but if you would like more information on Healbe, you can visit their website at www.healbe.com.
