Jim Nantz: Super Bowl and a new clothing line
CBS Sports' Jim Nantz has had a busy week. Nantz likes being busy, and we know he is calling the Super Bowl this week, but he also just released a clothing line.
Nantz is serving as play-by-play voice for the big game come Sunday with analyst Tony Romo and sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson. There is a ton of prep that goes into preparing for a Super Bowl, but for about a year, Nantz has been preparing to launch a clothing line.
vineyard vines, the lifestyle apparel brand best known for its smiling pink whale logo, launches a new golf gear and performance apparel collection in partnership with renowned sportscaster and voice of golf, Jim Nantz, the Jim Nantz by vineyard vines collection. Available now on vineyardvines.com, select vineyard vines locations and key green grass locations around the country, the exclusive collection is comprised of comfortable, sophisticated pieces for the course, clubhouse and beyond.
Inspired by Jim’s love and deep understanding of the game of golf, the line caters to the golfer both on and off the course and includes an assortment of performance polos, 1⁄2-zip, vests, sweaters, cardigans and jackets for men, priced from $98.00-$248.00. Jim Nantz has been the voice of CBS Sports for over 30 years calling some of America's biggest sporting events and the collection draws inspiration from Jim’s life; the Palmer Cardigan being a tribute to his friend Arnold Palmer and the Pescadero Performance 1⁄2-Zip stemming from living in Pebble Beach.
Making its debut at last week's PGA Show in Orlando, Florida, the Jim Nantz by vineyard vines collection serves as a perfect complement to the brand’s core collection of golf gear and performance apparel and kick's off this years rollout of strategic golf initiatives including welcoming PGA TOUR Player, J.T. Poston to the vineyard vines 2019 Golf Team and the sponsorships of both the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Genesis Open.
"We are excited to expand our assortment in golf and thrilled to roll out the Jim Nantz by vineyard vines collection. Jim has been part of the vineyard vines family for quite some time now and shares our passion for helping people live the Good Life,” said Ian Murray, vineyard vines CEO and co-founder.
