'Touch Typing' with the Tap Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

Tap gives “touch typing” a whole new meaning. Tap was designed to enable the wide adoption of new technologies and experiences. Tap consists of a series of rings worn over the thumb and fingers that register your hand movements, letting you type and control a cursor on nearly any surface.

Tap is a wearable keyboard, mouse and game controller that connects to most Bluetooth enabled devices. It is an ultra-compact laser-optic mouse is embedded into the thumb module for use with computers and tablets where mouse mode is supported. Tap delivers untethered data and control input to Bluetooth-enabled devices, from wearables, smartphones and tablets to TVs and VR/AR environments.

“Tap represents an entirely new way to interact with our digital world,” said Dovid Schick. CEO and Founder of Tap Systems. “Tapping is a fast, precise, natural human motion and we have developed the technology to harness this ability to turn any surface into a keyboard, mouse or game controller.”

The Tap Wearable Keyboard and Mouse is compatible with Microsoft’s virtual desktop environment. It is also compatible with virtual desktop applications running on the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. In the VR world, the device removes the need to see what your hands are doing as tapping does not require the user to aim for keys.

Users can typically learn to tap in about one hour using the TapGenius App, a mnemonic-based learning system which combines musical and visual tutorials with a fun and engaging game. The TapGenius App is available to download for iOS devices on the App Store and for Android devices on the Google Play Store.
