Cognata CES Preview

Cognata recently announced a new partnership with Autonomous Intelligent Driving GmbH (AID), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Audi AG. Audi will implement a large-scale, cloud-based solution to facilitate thorough and rapid testing of AID-enabled autonomous vehicles - increasing safety while speeding time to market. They additionally closed an $18.5 million funding round led by Scale Venture Partners with the participation of existing investors Emerge, Maniv Mobility, and Airbus Ventures, and new investor Global IoT Technology Ventures.

Cognata provides an automotive simulation platform combining artificial intelligence, deep learning and computer vision to recreate highly realistic scenarios for validating autonomous vehicles. They work from 3D models and recreate entire cities from the top own with total accuracy - from skyscrapers to shrubs, with road lanes and traffic signals precisely located. Simulation takes years off the long, costly process of road-testing autonomous vehicles in the real world.

The simulation emulates sensors from specific vehicles to reproduce sensor input and simulate interactions with real-world materials. Cognata technology simulates cities from around the world with great accuracy, along with AI-based weather and traffic models simulating real-world conditions.

For all those who will be attending CES 2019, you can visit their booth between January 8-11th at the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall - Booth #5903.
