Tech Alpharetta will be hosting a local Esports and Gaming panel called Tech Alpharetta’s Esports and Gaming Panel, discussing the rise of Esports and Gaming as a global business phenomenon. There are 2.2 billion active gamers in the world and in 2017 revenues generated from gaming were predicted to exceed $108 billion. The revenue for e-sports alone is expected to exceed $1 billion by 2019.
Local tech thought leaders, Walt Eisele (CTO of Scientific Games, Lottery) and Todd Harris (COO of Hi-Rez Studios and President of Skillshot Media) will be the panelists for the Tech Alpharetta’s Esports and Gaming Panel. The panel moderator is Doug Mata, the Channel Development Manager for NetApp in Georgia
Walt Eisele is responsible for all aspects of global product development and quality for Scientific Games’ Lottery systems and technologies. The product development responsibilities encompass central systems, terminals, interactive, sports betting and inventory management as well as other support systems. Eisele is responsible for global teams that include locations in the US, Europe and India.
Todd Harris is the Co-Founder of Hi-Rez Studios, one of the largest video game studios in the Southeast and the President of Skillshot Media, the largest dedicated esports production company on the east coast. He works with partners between Hi-Rez and Skillshot to advance the development and production of new and existing esports.
