Fast Company recently released the 2018 edition of the World’s Most Innovative Companies, which spans more than 350 enterprises across 36 categories. A company named TransferWise was listed in the Top 10 for the World’s Most Innovative Companies 2018 for Finance. TransferWise is a top personal money saving app that makes sending, receiving and spending money internationally come at a low cost.

TransferWise was founded in 2010 by Taavet Hinrikus and Kristo Kaarmann who believe that money is meant to flow freely. Today the platform has 3 million users that can serve over 47 currencies in 69 countries while avoiding the high fees that banks charge for moving your money across different countries. They have been found so ave customers more than $50 million per month compared to using a bank and will always provide the real exchange rate. TransferWise is leading the trend on fintech companies partnering with banks in order to bring the best financial services. They recently partnered with Monzo to power international payments for the U.K. challenger bank’s 750,000 customers. Customers are now able to access TransferWise’s services through the integration on Monzo’s app. TransferWise has launched its Borderless Account and debit card that is like having bank accounts all over the world. The account is multi-currency that lets you keep money in over 40 currencies and convert them at the real exchange rate. The debit card will be available in the U.S. later this year and is already available in most of Europe.
