Fans enjoying on site radio broadcast at BNP Paribas Open

It's not just about watching the tennis at the 2018 BNP Paribas Open, it's also about listening to the tennis.

The BNP Paribas Open has launched a new radio service for 2018 – Bank of the West Radio Live at the BNP Paribas Open – which will bring live Tennis Channel and ESPN broadcast coverage to patrons on the grounds through complimentary personal radios. In partnership with Bank of the West, the BNP Paribas Open will offer free earpiece radios for fans on-site to listen to live play-by-play and commentary from Tennis Channel and ESPN throughout the event. Audio will primarily come from Stadium 1 match action, with occasional coverage from other courts, scoring updates, scheduling information, on-site activities, live and recorded interviews and more. “We’re thrilled to offer Bank of the West Radio to tennis fans on-site at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden,” said Dan Osipow, Senior Vice President, Corporate Sponsorship Manager at Bank of the West. “We believe that the personal radios will provide a new and valuable amenity for fans to further enhance what is already an incredible atmosphere at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.” Radios will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis at the Bank of the West / BNP Paribas activation booth on the north side of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden beginning on Wednesday, March 7. There will be a limited quantity of radios handed out each day. The radio program is another initiative driven by the tournament to continually bring new opportunities to fans on-site at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. In addition to the radio program, fans can look forward to enjoying an interactive lounge in the Retail Courtyard, complete with a virtual reality tennis experience, air conditioned viewing areas and charging stations for mobile devices.
