Here, Rick gets a tech preview the 90th Academy Awards with noted screenwriter and Hollywood insider Mark Hughes, with and interview originating from Dolby Laboratories' film and sound theater in the heart of Hollywood.
This year, Dolby has a commitment to preserving artistic intent and advancing the science of sight and sound has resulted in 16 Academy Award nominated titles featuring Dolby technology - up from 12 last year.

Also, the top 15 highest grossing films of 2017 were presented in Dolby Cinema, a new way to experience the movies, that combines Dolby Vision imaging with Dolby Atmos sound. Every Best Visual Effects contender mastered their films in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, and The Boss Baby, Coco, and Ferdinand all shined as Dolby enabled nominees in the Animated Feature category.
