'Be a Slider' at Luge Fantasy Camp

Forget playing "pitch and catch" at your favorite team's baseball fantasy camp, the most interesting fantasy camp of 2018 will take place on a luge in Lake Placid, NY.

Watching the Winter Olympics? Want to give one of the unique sports we usually only see every four years a try?

Experience what it takes to be a luge athlete from USA Luge coaches and athletes taking part in the winter events in Pyeonchang. It's the 3-day USA Luge Fantasy Camp at the USA Luge's home in Lake Placid, NY from April 6 – 8, 2018.

A part of the Games since 1964, luge consists of athletes sliding down a track of ice on sleds, feet first, at speeds of up to 90 miles per hour. In addition to five medals at the Games, USA Luge athletes, referred to as 'sliders,' have won almost 600 elite level and junior international medals since 1994, and even one in Pyeonchang, making the organization one of the most decorated National Governing Bodies in the United States. The nation's two foremost slider experts, White Castle and USA Luge, announced a two-year partnership in April 2017, making White Castle the first and only restaurant brand in the United States to become an official partner of USA Luge and title sponsor of the off-season recruitment program, the White Castle USA Luge Slider Search.
