The Believe in Yourself Project
The Believe in Yourself Project is an American non-profit charity organization dedicated to providing brand-new, unworn designer dresses for girls to wear at school functions. Many teen girls are up against unobtainable social standards placed upon them-which are not just unhealthy, but often times not affordable. In an effort to close this gap, The Believe In Yourself Project is dedicated to the gainful advancement and empowerment of young women with a gift of confidence.
Sam Sisakhti (Founder of UsTrendy, the world’s largest fashion marketplace for young women and juniors) has launched this program and provided dresses to girls and young women who could not otherwise afford them, to wear at their upcoming school dances and other occasions. It is the belief of the organization that every young woman should feel confident regardless of her physicalities or financial circumstance. The observations lead to the site and foundation will enable underprivileged girls to select brand new in style designer dresser and have them delivered to them whenever they have a special occasion coming up. They have provided dresses for holidays, proms, music recitals, father/daughter dances, formals and many other occasions.
The Believe in Yourself Project seeks to revolutionize and reverse some of the negative messages girls currently hear into messages of positivity and encouragement, so that all girls can believe in themselves. The foundation is working to have bases set up in each state around the country to sponsor frequent, regular donations of dresses for special occasions. The organization is working to set up facilities where girls can go to hear speakers and connect with mentors, to promote a positive body image. They hold the belief that every young woman should feel confident regardless of her physical attributes or financial circumstances.
The Believe in Yourself Project provides opportunities for others to get involved and any of the following donations or efforts can give a girl confidence. One way is to donate dresses, if you are a dress designer or retailer interested in contributing to the organization, email your contact information to info@believeinyourself.org. They are seeking community leaders, speakers and spokespersons to give a voice to their charitable cause. The organization is reliant upon generous contributions from community leaders, alternative organizations, able retailers and individuals. They are dedicated to their mission, and believe that with the help of others- they can make the world a better place.
