It's no secret that this year's Masters has been complicated by weather, at times severe, in Augusta. This morning, the Weather Channel used its proprietary augmented reality (AR) technology during its live morning show AMHQ to demonstrate how weather impacts the game of golf including the effects of wind and rain on golf balls in flight.

This is the latest use of the AR technology that is also used to demonstrate tornados, storm surges and other weather-related conditions. Over the next few months, The Weather Channel will be using the same technology will be used to show the connection between weather and other outdoor sports like baseball, football, and soccer in the near future.
